Bulan sabit

The wonderful holiday feelings are back again and I am back in wonderful sunny KL from wet wet wet Terengganu running away from all those rain! :)

I know I have been very lackasaidical with regards to my blogging (I'll just have to post retro-actively again!). I just can't cope with life, work, my travels, other activities and updating my blog. But tonite, I shud make an exception and wish everyone a happy holidays. There are several coming up this time around.. X-Mas tomorrow, Eid-ul-Adha and New Year at the same time.

I also want to wish Nan a Happy Hanukah :) and I guess Ronald,Katinka,Johan and Margerthe (Ronald's artistic parents) & Enno a Merry X-mas and to Katinka's mom and family and to every muslim frens Eid-ul-Adha Mubarak and to everyone a Happy 2007 New Year!

And it a joyous feeling to know my mom and the rest of the family are coming back finally from Hong Kong tomorrow!!! including Kak Ha and the Ganu gang..now everyone can be in KL for the holidays and Raya Haji.. but it is sad to think I might have to go to Bangkok for 1st Day of Eid ): I might not just go to Bangkok unless I can complete it within 1 day.

The Welcome Wagon at KLIA

The Welcome Wagon at KLIA - Nuha and Wawa

I arrived KLIA from Hong Kong on 2nd Decembre and as usual poor Abang Li had to be my chauffeur accompanied by Wan, and their two little naughty "monsters" Nuha and Wawa :) As usual as soon as they can reached my luggages they will sat aplomb on it :) Posted by Picasa

Hong Kong Album

I only get to spend 4 days in Hong Kong, having prolonged my stay on the mountains of Switzerland and an additional weekend in Paris. However, I did get to venture out taking the funiculare train to the Peak and surprise, surprise.. bumped into Leong and family of all people who was holidaying in Hong Kong from Australia, at the Peak's money exchange kiosk. Robinson Avenue where Kak Ha is staying costs an unbelievable bomb (HK$43,000 per month.. yes thats right per MONTH! and it is only a 3-bedroom) but the view from the 38th Floor is tres spectaculare :)

There's not much to do in Hong Kong which gives me same ambiance as Singapore except Hong Kong a bit more interesting than antiseptic Singapore. Shopping at Mong Kok which is very similar to Petaling Street (perhaps Petaling Street is better :) or its posh boutiques (there is no where else on earth where one can see an Armani boutiques from houte couture to fresh flowers and chocholates.. yes..there is a branded Armani fresh flowers and chocolates!) will still not be as fun shopping in KL. KL is still I find the best place to shop and buy things pour moi :)

Don't think I wud care to live in Hong Kong even with its systematic image. After visiting China (even for a day), I find it to be more interesting and has more characteristics compared to bloody expensive and crowded Hong Kong! The natives are so much nicer than kiasu Hongkong-ites anyway. A small cup of tea costs me HK$10 while a piece of plain Indian Nan costs HK$20, a bowl of not-appetising-at-all-Pakistani-halal-curry costs at least HK$40 (or RM20 per bowl). Here in KL it only cost us RM1 (HK$2) while a piece of Nan with curry costs only RM2 the most (a total of less than HK$6) for a full meal. Now the whole family agrees we don't ever want to live in Hong Kong!- I guess it is OK to visit as long Kak Ha is posted there.. hehehe poor Kak Ha.. she is stuck there for a few more years.

KL is certainly the best city on earth! hehehe :) yep even compared to Paris, Munchen, New York, San Francisco or Washington DC :P
